A finales del siglo XIV, emigraron a Polonia y Lituania, conformando la principal población karay actual en esas tierras. Al encontrarse con diferentes culturas en regiones tan diversas, la lengua de los turcos karay también se vio influenciada por esto, y el karay, perteneciente a la familia turca kipchak, se convirtió en una lengua que: tomó préstamos léxicos y sintácticos de idiomas como el hebreo, el árabe, el persa, el polaco, el lituano y el ruso. Türkiye, demokrasi ve insan haklarının temellerini güvence altına almak için, uygulamalarının ifade ve basın özgürlüğünün korunmasına ilişkin uluslararası standartlarla ve kendi anayasasında yer alan güvencelerle uyumlu olmasını sağlamalıdır.
