WORLD TURKISH NEWS: Worldpers
Everything is out of control in Turkey. The century's fund heist has disrupted the government's equilibrium. Now, opposition parties are being silenced; mayors and journalists who write or speak about this issue on TV are being arrested, and people are being subjected to harsh treatment. The strangest part is that the lower echelons of the government, who were robbed in the stock market, are facing heavy pressure from the opposition who are seeking their rights, while the elite who committed the heist are being protected by the government. They are blocking social media so that people don't learn the truth. We, as freelance journalists who criticize the government, that is, those who do online journalism, are also getting our share. The government is not going to elections because it knows it will lose at the ballot box. My country must definitely get out of this chaotic situation. Can the economy improve under these conditions?
The difficult economic and political processes that Turkey is experiencing directly highlight the effects of fundamental concepts such as transparency, the rule of law, and institutional trust on the economy. Whether an economy can recover permanently under current conditions largely depends on the re-establishment of a climate of trust and the implementation of structural reforms.
Climate of Trust and Institutional Structure
The predictability of legal and administrative institutions is critical for the sustainability of economic stability.
Investor Confidence: Both domestic and foreign capital seek the rule of law and the guarantee of property rights.
Market Transparency: The auditability and fairness of financial markets and structures such as the stock exchange accelerate capital inflow.
Information Flow: Freedom of the press and access to social media platforms enable accurate analysis of economic risks.
Preconditions for Economic Recovery
To emerge from the current chaotic perception and economic difficulties, both macroeconomic balances and perception management need to change.
Tight Monetary Policy: Determination in the fight against inflation and the independence of the Central Bank are fundamental requirements.
Fiscal Discipline: Transparency and savings in public spending are necessary to close the budget deficit.
Structural Reforms: Radical changes in education, justice, and the tax system will support long-term growth. Future Risks and Expectations
As long as institutional erosion and uncertainty continue, it may be difficult for economic indicators to improve permanently.
CDS (Credit Default Swap): Increased political and economic predictability is essential to reduce the country's external borrowing costs.
Capital Outflow: Lack of confidence may lead domestic investors to shift their capital abroad or to alternative investment instruments.
In short, purely monetary measures not supported by structural and legal reforms can only provide economic recovery temporarily. For lasting prosperity and stability, the principles of justice, transparency, and meritocracy will be decisive in every area of the economy.
