The economic and political chaos in Turkey is the ruling party's struggle to maintain its 25-year hold on power. The people are hungry, living below the poverty line, and the workers, farmers, and civil servants are suffering. The ruling party is completely unconcerned with these issues. They are rounding up their rivals and opponents in prisons, solely to avoid losing the election. They have no connection to the country. Their aim is to stay in power. Veterans from Southeastern Turkey are seeking their rights, staging protests. Some have lost arms, some legs, some are deaf, some are blind, but the ruling party ignores them. They deploy police against the veterans' protests. In other words, you won't seek your rights, you won't write the truth, and they will use the law, they will use the military and the police, and you won't speak up. All so they don't lose power.
