WORLD DEMOCRACY PLATFORM: SWEDEN The AKP government, which has been in power in Turkey for 24 years, deceived Europe by portraying people as champions of democracy, human rights, and opposition to coups. The AKP government boiled people like frogs in lukewarm water, then increased the heat. During these 24 years, it seized control of the armed forces, police, gendarmerie, and coast guard, and then the judiciary. Step by step, it began to dismantle the Republic founded by Gazi Mustafa Kemal, consolidating power and carrying out a cunning civilian autocratic coup. Following this, the rejuvenation of the main opposition's leadership and their victory in the municipal elections frightened Erdoğan. He began activities aimed at keeping the main opposition party, which he saw as the only threat, away from the elections and dividing the party. He removed the elected general chairman of the main opposition party from office with a court order. To gain an advantage in the elections, he brought the former general chairman back to the head of the party, but despite this, he did not achieve his goal. The former appointed chairman took revenge for losing the congress. It is receiving a huge reaction worldwide, and millions of messages are coming to the World Democracy Platform, and it is receiving a huge reaction from everyone. We, as the World Democracy Platform, are informing the World Social Democrats Union that the resisting former chairman and the seized CHP should be expelled from the World Social Democrats Union. We see all the elections held in Turkey during the AKP period as tainted.
