In Turkey, Erdoğan, seeing his rival and realizing he cannot win against him, has taken the opposition's presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu and his family hostage, using the politicized judiciary to suppress the opposition. The intimidation and harassment of the opposition continues. Today, AKP MPs attacked other MPs in Parliament, resulting in some being hospitalized. AKP MPs are attacking like Erdoğan's militants. Images from Parliament have been released to the world press. The appointment of Akın Gürlek to the Ministry of Justice is evidence of the politicization of the judiciary by the government. The government's aim is to hold elections, and if necessary, to create internal unrest in the parliamentary environment. The situation in Turkey is still tense, and this tension will not end well.
