WORLD TURKISH NEWS / WORLDPRESS
A few days ago, I received a message from a journalist friend in Detroit, USA. He said, "I looked at your pictures on your page, you don't look like a journalist, you look like a former soldier. How did you become a journalist?" I told him my life story. "I graduated from the Deck Department of the World Maritime Academy in Sweden and served as a captain for a while. In 1974, I served as a Reserve Officer and participated in the Cyprus War. I am a decorated veteran lieutenant. After leaving the army, I started journalism. I started sharing news on the internet as an amateur because people don't know the truth. The hardest thing for a young person is war. Imagine you are 23 years old and have never seen war in your life. Suddenly, you are burdened with responsibility, you put many young people under your command, and you go to die with them. Next to you are dying soldiers, cries, screams, and death everywhere. I have been working for 20 years to tell these truths and write the truth." I am a freelance internet journalist. A friend of mine living in Belgium applied to the IFJ (International Federation of Journalists) for a press card, and I wrote that my internship ends in March 2026.
