IFJ - INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF JOURNALISTS
It's impossible to find an impartial or opposition journalist in Türkiye anymore because it's become so easy to arrest journalists. If you criticize the government, this is your fate. Journalists like Enver Aysever, Timur Soykan, and Fatih Altaylı are imprisoned. These are well-known journalists in Turkey. Mehmet Akif Ersoy, the general editor of Habertürk TV, was arrested on false charges of drug trafficking. So now the country is completely ruled by autocracy. Is it really that easy to arrest someone? They immediately arrest them for inciting hatred and hostility among the people. In Turkey, journalism is only accepted in the written and visual media controlled by the government. The government's press and visual media can spread slander, insult, and attack relentlessly. If you file a lawsuit against them, it will be rejected. I call on the silent and चुप journalists of the world to support us.
