Millions of people are protesting against Turamp in America. The reason for the rebellion is the studies conducted without consulting the public. Economic hardship, dictatorial behavior, disregard for the law, and the oppression of the press. This has driven society crazy. In other words, a situation almost similar to what happened in Turkey. Millions of people are in the streets in Turkey. Turkey and America are in the struggle for democracy. The people are in the streets. We support all the American people protesting against Turamp in America from Türkiye. We support the struggle for the freedom of the people for an independent press. We stand with you.

The ICJ further condemns the detention of Fırat Epözdemir, a member of the executive board, who was arrested upon his return from an advocacy visit to Council of Europe institutions. These actions constitute a direct attack on the independence of the legal profession and the rule of law in Türkiye.
