IFJ-INTERNATIONAL FEDRATION OF JOURNALIST
President Erdoğan is inviting Turamp's son to Turkey to meet with Turamp. He promised Turamp's son that he would buy 300 passenger planes from the US. Turamp, in return, gave him an appointment for September 25th. Now I'm thinking about this: In a serious country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would handle these issues, but here, it's being handled with Turamp's son. Although Turamp is a dictator, it's only on US TV. The goal is to put on a show. He agrees with Turamp on the press. Erdoğan has the press in Turkey under the judicial control. Only the pro-government media is free. TVs can be shut down in Turkey. Print media is blocked. But he'll meet with Turamp. They'll advertise it. The opposition in Turkey is under the judicial control. But he'll visit Turamp. He'll put on a show and spread propaganda for his supporters. I wonder how the US public will react to this.
