IFJ-INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF JOURNALIST
I'm a journalist and I have community pages on Facebook, and my friends from the world press have pages. However, Turkey very often restricts sharing on my Facebook pages and my friends' pages. However, the ruling party, the AKP, has millions of fake accounts, and on these pages, they swear at the opposition, insult them, and commit all sorts of disgraceful acts. How many of these fake accounts have you blocked? There are many fake accounts that swear at Atatürk, and Facebook turns a blind eye to this disgrace. Do you think Turkey's Facebook is safe?
I share news on Facebook and other websites. My work complies with journalistic ethics. I only publish news that doesn't include insults, swearing, or humiliation. I also share my online pages on Facebook.
But I don't think Facebook is a safe social media platform.
