The Asian Democracy Formula Has Begun, But Imagine Without Turkey. The so-called world leader isn't here.
There's China, South Korea, India, Malaysia. We're not here. How sad it is that we're not from Central Asia.
The Turkish states continue to lull us into sleep.

Latest Asian Diplomacy – South Korea, Pakistan, India, and China
Date: August 22, 2025
Nina Dash / Nandini Dash
In today's multilateral world, soft power is a key factor in the development of all sizes and all kinds of countries. It creates a win-win situation for countries of all sizes. Attitude.
Recent Asian diplomacy suggests that China's foreign policy with South Korea, Pakistan, and India is trending in the right direction.
On August 24, 1992, China and South Korea established official diplomatic relations. The two countries will celebrate this day on August 24, 2025, marking the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Ahead of August 24, 2025, China Daily, focusing on Chinese diplomacy in Asia, quoted Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning as saying:
"Beijing expressed its willingness to work with Seoul on Friday to uphold good neighborly relations and friendship, to uphold the goal of mutual benefit, and to elevate the bilateral strategic cooperation partnership to a higher level."
Since China is ideologically closer to North Korea and South Korea to Japan, ensuring neighborly diplomacy is crucial for maintaining stability. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited Pakistan on August 20-22, 2025.
Some believe that Pakistan is a friend of China under all circumstances.
During his tour of Pakistan, Wang Yi attended the sixth round of the Strategic Foreign Ministers' Dialogue in Islamabad.
He held a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart, Ishaq Dar.
Regarding Pakistani diplomacy on August 21, 2025, The Economic Times wrote:
"The two sides reviewed all aspects of Pakistan-China relations and discussed important regional and global issues.
Pakistan and China agreed on Thursday to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the industrial, agricultural, and mining sectors."
Another interesting diplomatic strategy is the Chinese Foreign Minister's visit to India on August 18-19, 2025, and his subsequent arrival in Pakistan.
This time, Foreign Minister Wang Yi's official visit to India appears to have furthered talks aimed at strengthening relations between neighboring China and India.
Wang Yi attended the 24th round of China-India border talks in New Delhi. He met with his Indian counterpart, Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and Indian Prime Minister Modi, who is expected to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in the Chinese port city of Tianjin from August 31 to September 1, 2025. On August 22, 2025, the BBC echoed the words of China's Ambassador to India, Xu Feihong, who stated:
"The two countries, China and India, are the 'twin engines' of economic growth in Asia, and the unity between India and China benefits the entire world."
He also invited more Indian businesses to invest in China and added that Beijing hopes India will provide a "fair, equitable, and non-discriminatory business environment" for Chinese businesses in India that will benefit the people of both countries.
A comfortable Asian diplomacy, where China stands out as the second-largest economy globally and is the fastest adopter of technology, and a balancing act between India, Pakistan, and South Korea, make Asian diplomacy strategic and effective. — * —

The ICJ further condemns the detention of Fırat Epözdemir, a member of the executive board, who was arrested upon his return from an advocacy visit to Council of Europe institutions. These actions constitute a direct attack on the independence of the legal profession and the rule of law in Türkiye. The criminal proceedings were initiated following a statement issued by the Istanbul Bar Association on 21 December 2024, which called for an independent investigation into the deaths of journalists Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin, who were killed in northern Syria on 19 December 2024. The statement highlighted concerns regarding the...
