The government in Turkey has begun to navigate dangerous waters. The government is pursuing the lifting of the parliamentary immunity of the CHP leader. It is also seeking to arrest the leader of the main opposition party. In other words, while the economy is in a disastrous state and public administration has collapsed, it has also begun lobbying for the arrest of the main opposition leader. The government's sole goal is to maintain its elected position and is doing everything in its power to drag the country into a civil war. This government is seen as a path to salvation. The opposition is pushing for early elections, but they stubbornly insist there will be no elections.
