IFJ - INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF JOURNALIST The opposition's presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is imprisoned in Turkey, visited the mayors of the Union of European Municipalities. They were not allowed to meet with Ekrem İmamoğlu. The government is afraid of this visit because they fear they will speak out about unlawful practices. and they are blocking the visit because they fear the government's unlawful practices will be exposed and the opposition will not be able to. The increasing international support is driving the government crazy. In other words, the opposition's presidential candidate is being isolated. This should be reported in the world press because contact with the international press in Turkey is being blocked. The government is attempting to deceive the world by waging a propaganda campaign with 40 TV channels under its control. Several TV channels controlled by the opposition are under pressure to be shut down. Tele I TV will be shut down for five days. Pressure on the government should be exerted through the press.
