American History prf dr Gene D.Matlock, O PEOPLE OF THE WORLD, YOU ARE ALL TURKS, author of the book Are the ancestors of the Irish Turks? A study conducted in the United Kingdom found that "85 percent of Irish men may be the descendants of farmers who came to Irish soil from Turkey and other Mediterranean countries 6 thousand years ago." The research, reported by the British Times newspaper with the headline "Turkish farmers are the father of Irish", is based on studies conducted on the Y chromosomes of European men passed from father to son. Research by the University of Leicester suggests that farmers who came to Ireland from Anatolia and the south-east of Europe may have replaced the indigenous male population over time. The genetic findings included in the study also reveal that Irish women may have found farmers who came to the region more "attractive" than native men who made a living by hunting and gathering.
